October is about to bring a windfall to one lucky restaurant diner, who will win a year’s supply of beef and lamb delivered to their door – wherever they live in the world.

Anyone ordering a beef or lamb main course dish in a Beef and Lamb Excellence Award participating restaurant during October will go in the draw to win the prize, which has a total value of NZ $2,500. Because the beef and lamb product will be delivered anywhere around the globe, the promotion is not only open to New Zealanders, but to the tens of thousands of overseas tourists currently visiting our shores.

“The promotion is a great way to encourage Kiwis and visitors alike to sample delicious homegrown beef and lamb prepared by our world class chefs,” says Rod Slater, CEO of Beef + Lamb New Zealand Inc, organisers of the promotion.

“Not only do customers get to enjoy the dining experience itself, but they have the added chance of receiving an entire’s year supply of beef and lamb, so they can continue to enjoy it at home all year round.”

The October restaurant promotion is being advertised on television, in a variety of newspapers and magazines – including Air New Zealand’s inflight magazine, Kia Ora, and in a restaurant directory which is being handed out to visitors at The Cloud on Queen’s Wharf.

“There are more than 180 restaurants around the country involved in the promotion, so people travelling to watch games will get the chance to enter a number of times during October if they regularly dine in Excellence Awards restaurants, greatly increasing their odds of winning the big prize,” says Rod Slater. “But the great thing is you don’t have to be a rugby fan to enter – the competition is open to anyone and everyone enjoying a beef or lamb meal in a participating restaurant.”
