Hi Dawn,
You just made my day with this chart, as it has answered a few of my problems.Our animals have had a bad time with fleas The vet told us this is the worst year hes known for fleas.We have done every thing possible,some ideas in this chart are very helpfull so will give them a try.By the way Dawn what is Rue Its a new one on me is it an old one and what sort of flavour does give Thank you Cass.

It has a very bitter flavour. It is not a culinary herb. The very name gives a warning of it's nature: rue = regret. I'm not surprised it would rid anything of fleas; it would rid everything from everywhere with it's pungeant smell. Here's a novel thought: rub some into your dog's fur, and he will keep running, trying to get away from the smell. A good exercise 'machine'. :D

You can see a picture of what Rue looks like at the bottom of this web page -
<[www.livingherbs.co.nz]; and as Lorna says it's pretty pungent so you'd need to be very cautious if using on animals! However, it does suggest you can use it in a culinary manner albiet sparingly to "give unusual muskiness to cream cheese, egg and fish dishes".
