Rum And Cinnamon Prunes

  • 1/3 cup water
  • _ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • cinnamon quills
  • 500g dessert prunes, pitted


Bring water and sugar to the boil and simmer for 3 minutes, remove from heat and stir in rum. Place prunes in sterilised jars and add cinnamon sticks, pour over liquid and seal.
