This is a recipe I baked for Mum’s birthday.
The recipe is as below for the cake, the icing recipe was chocolate butter cream.
Mummy Darling’s Chocolate Cake
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk or plain yoghurt
¾ cup cocoa
200 gr soft butter
2 teas baking soda
1½ teas vanilla
¼ teas salt
3 cups self-raising flour
1 cup boiling strong coffee
Put all ingreds into food processor or cake mixer bowl in order given.
Process or beat for 1 minute.
Turn into greased, lined 23 x 33 cm tin (expanding tin, fully
Bake at 160°C for 1 hour, or until skewer comes out cleanly.
Butter Cream Icing
Ingredients:
340g icing sugar (replace with some cocoa for chocolate icing)
85g butter
1 to 2 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Combine all ingredients together and mix well.
The decoration for this one is Chocolate fingers and fresh strawberries.
