Chicken Pie

Ingredients

  • olive oil
  • 500 g chicken meat
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • cornflour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 pre-rolled sheets of savoury short pastry
  • 4 tablespoons Barker’s Mango & Peach chutney

Preheat oven to 180 C fanbake.
Cut the chicken meat into bite-size pieces, place in pan with oil and diced onion and cook on high heat, stirring frequently, until cooked (about 8 minutes).
In a separate pan, make a white sauce in the usual way, using the butter, cornflour and milk. When done, add the cooked chicken mix and stir to combine.
Place one sheet of pastry in a greased pie dish and shape to fit. Pour mixture into it.
Place spoonfuls of chutney on top of the mixture and spread to cover. Place remaining pastry sheet on top and shape to fit the pie.
Cook for 30 minutes
