Feijoa Muffins with Crunchy Topping

Preheat oven to 200 C.
Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl. Make a well in the centre. In a small bowl whisk egg and add vanilla, milk and melted butter. Pour into dry ingredients along with the feijoa. Stir until just combined.
Spoon batter to half fill greased muffin trays. Top with a teapsoon of cream cheese and then cover with remaining batter. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over each muffin. Bake for 20 minutes and then leave for a few minutes before removing from tray.
