Mummy Darling’s Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk or plain yoghurt
¾ cup cocoa
200g soft butter
2 teaspoons baking soda
1½ teaspoons vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
3 cups self-raising flour
1 cup hot strong coffee

Method

Emma Colling, Preheat the oven to 160 C. Put all ingredients into a food processor or cake mixer bowl in the order given. Process or beat for 1 minute. Turn into a greased, lined 23cm cake tin. Bake for 1 hour, or until skewer comes out cleanly.
