Lesley

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon surebake yeast
  • 250 g flour (either white or half white and half wholemeal)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 75 ml warm milk
  • 75 ml yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter

Method

Either mix ingredients in breadmaker on a dough setting or mix in a bowl and knead until smooth. Leavel in a warm place in a covered bowl for 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
You may sometimes need a little more liquid.
Divide into 3 on a floured bench. Make rounds. These can be cooked in the oven at 220 C for ten minutes but I have cooked them on a griddle in the campervan and then slightly grilled them.
Brush with butter or garlic butter while still warm.
