American Style Chocolate Chip Cookies
Posted By Helen Jackson On June 18, 2020 @ 11:06 am In Baking Recipes,Biscuit Recipes,Chocolate Recipes,Recipes | No Comments
Growing up in NZ our chocolate chip biscuits [1] were inherently small, crisp and usually contained small chips of chocolate and sweetened condensed milk.
My teens see these as a bit ho hum and instead like the American style cookies, filled with big chunks of molten chocolate that are delicious when eaten warm and then cool to a crisp on the outside and softish style biscuit.
After playing around with a few recipes including David Leite’s famous 36 hour cookies [2] I have come up with a simple recipe that everyone is happy with.
Yield: makes 20 large cookies
