Ingredients
- 75g butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- milk
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Method
Beat butter and sugar together until pale and creamy, add egg and beat well. Add combined cocoa, flour, baking powder and enough milk to make a firm batter.
Pour the condensed milk into the base of a 1 litre pudding bowl. Spoon pudding batter into the bowl and cover tightly. Steam for 1 1/2 – 2 hours.

I came onto Foodlovers looking for a steamed pudding recipe. This one looks nice and I’m going to try it. I thought I’d also share the Chelsea steamed pudding recipe, which we tried two nights ago. It was fantastic:
