- Base
- 125 g butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Topping
- 65 g butter
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Icing
- 125 g dark chocolate, melted
- 60 g butter, melted
Method
Preheat oven to 180 C.
Beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy, add egg and mix well and then mix in flour and baking powder. Spread into a sponge roll pan lined with baking paper. Bake until lightly coloured, around 20 minutes.
Spread combined topping on top of cooled base.
Mix chocolate and butter together and spread over slice when the topping has set.
