Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 tin condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 250 g butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 cup dessicated coconut
- 1 packet gingernuts, crushed
Method
Melt together sugar, condensed milk, golden syrup, milk and butter. Bring to the boil and gently cook for 8 minutes. Remove from heat and beat until thick. Add walnuts, vanilla, coconut and crushed biscuits - mix well. Press into sponge roll pan and sprinkle with coconut, refrigerate until set and cut into pieces.
