Ingredients
- 2kg pears
- 1 kg brown sugar
- 1 litre vinegar
- 15g cinnamon
- 15g cloves
Method
Peel and quarter pears. Boil together the brown sugar and cinnamon and add the pears, cinnamon and cloves. Simmer until tender and pour into sterilised jars. Seal when cold. Annies tip is instead of bottling fruit why not freeze it in serving size containers eg margarine pottles. Thaw and then sprinkle with sugar
