Ingredients
- 125 g butter (softened)
- 125 g tasty or vintage (strong flavoured) cheese, grated
- 125 g (maybe a little more) flour
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
- pinch cayene pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Method
Preheat oven to 180 C,
Mix all ingredients together and roll into very small balls…..about the size of a 5c piece
Roll in sesame seeds
Press with a fork
Cook on a baking paper lined oven tray for 10-12 minutes.

I made these last weekend and they were delish, although quite a lot of butter leaked out of them when cooking. It could have been because I made it all in the food processor. I didn’t roll them into balls either – I made the mixture into a small log, wrapped it in foil and put it into the freezer for an hour. I then sliced it about 5mm thick and sprinkled the sesame seeds on top. They were crisp and cheesy and got hoovered up by guests in a flash. I’d certainly make them again.
