Method
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 cups brandy, bourbon or dark rum
- 4 cups milk
- 4 cups cream
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- nutmeg to sprinkle
Method
Separate the eggs. Beat yolks and caster sugar until pale and golden. Slowly beat in the alcohol of choice.
Add milk and half of the cream.
Prior to serving beat egg whites until soft peaks adn fold into mixture. Whip remaining cream and icing sugar and top each glass of eggnog with this.
Sprinkle over nutmeg.
