Strawberry Spanish Cream

  • 1 packet of strawberry jelly crystals
  • 1 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 punnet strawberries
  • whipped cream
  • grated chocolate


Dissolve jelly crystals in the boiling water.Separate the yolk from the white of the egg.beat egg yolk and sugar,add 1/4 cup of the milk.Heat the remaining milk and stir in the yolk mixture and stir till nearly boiling (dont boil).Mix in the jelly and lastly fold in the stiffly beaten egg while.Pour into serving dish to set.When cold, top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries and grated chocolate.
