Sugar Buns

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup custard powder
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 175 g butter,melted
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 3/4 cup sultanas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon, mixed together


Preheat oven to 180 C.
Sift together flour, custard powder, baking powder and sugar. Make a well in the centre and add eggs, butter and milk. Mix until combined. Place tablespoons of mixture onto a cool tray and sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top of each bun.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until springy and golden.
