Soaking bamboo skewers in water prior to using prevents them from burning while cooking.
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons finely grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 8 chicken thigh fillets, skin off
Place soy, sesame, honey, ginger and garlic in a small saucepan and warm until honey melts. Chop chicken into 2-3 cm chunks and place in a shallow dish. Pour over the marinade and then refrigerat for at least 30 minutes and preferably longer. Thread chicken onto bamboo skewers that have been soaked in water and cook on a hot plate for 10 minutes until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
