Yield: Makes 9 scones
Ingredients
- 2 cups self raising flour
- pinch salt
- 50g butter
- 1 cup or just under buttermilk
Method
Preheat oven to 220 C. Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Grate in butter and then rub until mixture resembles crumbs.
Make a well in the centre, pour in the milk and mix with a knife until just combined to a soft dough.
Tip dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a rectangle. Cut into shapes and place on a cold tray.
Bake for 13-15 minutes until golden.
to make buttermilk, you just add some lemon juice to milk. you should find the ratio on google.

How do I make or get buttermilk, please. Is it like whey?
