Ingredients
- 3 kg tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 onions, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 250g spaghetti
- 125g butter
- 60g (spoon measure) cornflour
Method
Bring
tomatoes, onions, sugar, salt and pepper to the boil and continue to cook
until tomato is pulpy. Process in a food processor if desired. Meanwhil
cook spaghetti in a saucepan of rapidly boiling water until cooked. Add
to the tomato sauce with butter and cornflour mixed to a paste in a little
water. Pour into sterilised jars and seal.
