Yield: Makes 8
Ingredients
- 500g strawberries
- 1-2 tablespoons lime (or lemon) juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
Method
Roughly chop the strawberries and place in the bowl of a blender with the lime juice.
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and heat, swirling the pan a little at times, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to boil for a minute or so.
Pour the sugar syrup over the strawberries and then blend until smooth.
Fill ice block moulds with the mixture and freeze for at least 4 hours.
I wonder if you know where to buy decent sized ice block moulds like the size of your strawberry ice blocks, the only ones I see are really small. Thanks.
Sorry, hadn’t scrolled down to see the questions, so already answered, thanks.
I am thinking I should start importing these moulds as they seem to be popular yet strangely do not seem to be available in New Zealand.
I bought set of six at $2 shop. not flash but will do for now
Hi Helen, Where did you get those iceblock moulds from? thanks kieran
Hi Kieran, the ice block moulds are Norpro ice pop makers.
I just looked around the net until I found them at the right price and with reasonable delivery costs.
I have had them a few years and they have been great. I like the shape.
